1. Do you offer payment plans or flexible billing options?
We do offer payment plans. The upfront cost of the bankruptcy needs to be paid before filing. We offer payment plans of up to a year. We set up automatic payments with a debit card, and you can choose weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payments.
2. How soon can I buy a home or car after bankruptcy?
You can purchase a car as soon as a day after filing chapter 7 bankruptcy, and as soon as your plan is confirmed in a 13. It’s possible to buy a home two years after a 7 and after 12 on time payments in a 13.
3. How will you keep me informed about the progress of my case or matter?
We task you on what is needed from you and you can see that at any time in our portal. The portal has a message feature where you can ask questions, and we will provide you updates through the messages. We usually respond in the same day.
4. Will I lose my home, car, or other personal property if I file for bankruptcy?
It is possible to keep your home, car, or other personal property when you file for bankruptcy. Ohio offers generous exemptions to protect your property. If the exemptions do not cover the equity, there is an option to buy back the equity.
