Attorney Tyrus A. Conley is an Ohio bankruptcy attorney who focuses his practice on consumer bankruptcy cases, including chapter 7, chapter 13, and student loan discharges. He is a seasoned Ohio bankruptcy attorney who has personally filed or has been involved with roughly 1,000 bankruptcy cases. He began his career as an associate attorney with one of the largest filers in the state of Ohio. While there, he personally reviewed every bankruptcy case that was filed. The other attorneys also consulted with him on every complicated matter.

The experience Attorney Conley gained as an associate, and then as a partner at a previous firm guided him on how he wants run the bankruptcy practice at Conley Law. He is committed to having a personal touch with all his clients. He has seen clients going through sales agents and case managers and have very little contact with any attorney. He recognizes that bankruptcy is a stressful experience for anyone and does not want to add to that stress by having his clients not being able to get ahold of him. He also looks for out-of-the-box solutions and looks at all options for his clients. Despite changes to student loans in bankruptcy that happened in 2022, many bankruptcy attorneys are not aware that student loans can be discharged in bankruptcy, or do not want to do the work. Attorney Conley takes the approach that all clients should have their student loan situation reviewed for potential discharge. In addition, he will fight for his clients, including suing creditors that have violated his clients’ rights.

Attorney Conley is a graduate of the University of Akron, School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctorate degree with honors while serving on the Akron Law Review and Trial Team. Prior to law school, he attended Baldwin Wallace University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a political science degree and from the Honors College. While at Baldwin Wallace, he was a member of several honor societies and competed on the track and field team.

Attorney Conley is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), the Akron Bar Association, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA). He regularly attends the Pat E. Morgenstern-Clarren and William J. O’Neil Bankruptcy Institute hosted by the CMBA; the White-Williams Bankruptcy Institute hosted by the Akron and Stark County Bar Associations; and the Annual Convention and the Fall Workshop hosted by NACBA. He is committed to better serving his clients and will go to every event that is reasonably possible where he can learn more. He strives to be the best bankruptcy lawyer in Ohio.

Attorney Conley has spoken at the Bankruptcy Law Essentials for the Next General: Building a Future in a Growing Field continuing legal education event hosted by the CMBA where discussed his experience as an Ohio bankruptcy lawyer fresh out of law school and encouraged other young attorneys to get into the practice area.

Attorney Conley has been published in the CMBA Journal with his article discussing the need for solo-practitioners and small firms to establish efficient systems and software to give exceptional representation to all clients with the increasing case load that attorneys are seeing.

Attorney Conley is admitted to practice in the state of Ohio, the Northern District of Ohio, Southern District of Ohio, and Eastern District of Missouri.
